MISSION

The Rutgers Community Health Foundation makes grants to non-profit organizations to engage in activities to improve the health and health care of residents of the greater New Brunswick, New Jersey area. The Foundation focuses on addressing the unmet needs of groups that are disadvantaged by economic, social, medical, or environmental circumstances.

HISTORY

The Rutgers Community Health Foundation was founded in 1987 with proceeds from the sale of the Rutgers Community Health Plan. Beginning with a focus on improving the health of the citizens of New Jersey, the Foundation Directors have elected to target grant support to organizations seeking to improve the health and health care of residents of greater New Brunswick, New Jersey.
